Your Bookwize dashboard is the command center of your business. It shows you what is happening today, this week, and across your entire booking history. Here is a complete tour of what you will find and how to use it.
Dashboard Overview
When you log in, the first thing you see is your dashboard home screen. It gives you an at-a-glance summary of your business:
- Today's bookings — how many appointments you have scheduled for today
- This week — your total bookings for the current week
- Total bookings — your all-time booking count
- Total customers — how many unique clients have booked with you
Below the summary, you will see a list of your most recent bookings with the client name, service, staff member, date, and status.
Your dashboard gives you a snapshot of your business at a glance. Check it each morning to see what your day looks like and whether anything needs your attention.
The Calendar View
Click Bookings in the sidebar to access your calendar. The calendar is one of the most powerful features in Bookwize, giving you a visual view of your entire schedule.
Switching Views
You can toggle between different views depending on what you need:
- List view — a simple, scrollable list of all bookings, sorted by date
- Calendar view — a visual calendar showing appointments as blocks on a grid
Within the calendar view, you can switch between day, week, and month views. Day view is great for seeing your full schedule in detail. Week view gives you the big picture. Month view is helpful for spotting busy periods and gaps.
Viewing Booking Details
Click on any booking — in either list or calendar view — to see its full details: client name, email, phone, service, staff member, time, notes, and current status.
Managing Individual Bookings
From the booking detail view, you can take several actions:
Mark as Complete
After a client's appointment is finished, mark it as complete. This updates the status and keeps your records accurate. Bookings that were confirmed by the client through a reminder email are completed automatically after the appointment time passes.
Cancel a Booking
If you need to cancel an appointment from your end, you can do so from the booking detail view. The client will be notified automatically by email that their appointment has been cancelled. The time slot opens back up for other clients to book.
Mark as No-Show
If a client does not show up, mark the booking as a no-show. This helps you track patterns and identify clients who frequently miss appointments. Over time, this data is valuable for managing your schedule and setting policies.
Filtering Your Bookings
When you have a lot of bookings, filtering helps you find exactly what you need. You can filter by:
- Date range — view bookings for a specific day, week, or custom date range
- Staff member — see only one team member's appointments
- Status — show only confirmed, pending, completed, cancelled, or no-show bookings
Customer Management
The Customers section in your sidebar gives you a complete view of everyone who has ever booked with you.
- Search — find any client by name, email, or phone number
- Customer detail view — click on any client to see their full booking history, contact information, and any notes
- Notes — add private notes to a client's profile. Use these to remember preferences, allergies, or special requests
- Export — download your customer list as a spreadsheet file for use in other tools or for your records
- Import — upload a spreadsheet of existing customers if you are migrating from another system
Your dashboard is designed to give you the information you need without clutter. If you can check your email, you can manage your bookings in Bookwize.
